Polyethylene pipe (PE pipe) is a type of plastic pipe made primarily from polyethylene. It features corrosion resistance, good flexibility, and light weight, making it widely used in water supply, gas transportation, agricultural irrigation, and industrial piping applications.

Performance characteristics

1. Chemical corrosion resistance: PE pipes have excellent corrosion resistance to most household and industrial chemicals (such as acids, alkalis, salts), but can be corroded by strong oxidants such as concentrated nitric acid and aromatic hydrocarbons. Its molecular structure is non-polar, not easily rusted or electrochemically corroded, and suitable for complex soil environments. ‌‌

Classification and Application of PE Pipe

1. Material grade: International standards are divided into five grades, PE32 to PE100, of which PE80 and PE100 are mainly used for water supply pipes and gas pipes
2. Main application areas:

·Municipal engineering: urban water supply network (HDPE), gas pipeline network (MDPE), and rainwater drainage system. ‌‌

·Agriculture: Drip irrigation system (LDPE has good flexibility) and irrigation pipes. ‌‌
